Simply Skiffs

What size/weight are the boats?
Skiff Length 7'10", width/beam 4'1", weight approx 30kg (two average adults required for loading and carrying).
Pram Length 8', width/beam 4'7", weight approx 40kg to 50kg (two men required for loading and carrying)

Will they take an outboard?
Yes, a small 2hp outboard is ample for the Skiffs, 2.5hp for the Prams. Please advise if you intend to use an outboard on your boat so I can make the necessary modifications.

Where can they be used?
Being under 2.5m in length, all my boats are too small to have an official seaworthiness category under the recreational craft directive. I recommend they be treated as cat D, ie inland sheltered waters only. If you intend to use them on public lakes/rivers, it is important to check with the relevant authorities first.

How much can the boats carry?
Recommended max load is 150kg for the Skiffs, ie two average adults. The Prams will carry significantly more ie three average adults. In practise the capacity is limited by space rather than weight, but the load should always be spread evenly through the boat.
